Ingredients
- pound butter
- cup sugar
- cups sifted flour
Instructions
- Soften butter at room temperature.
- Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- Add flour and blend with pastry cutter until mixed.
- Press into greased inch square pans.
- Prick top with tines of fork.
- Bake until golden and firm to touch.
- Cut in squares while warm.
- Allow to cool before removing from pan.
