Grammie Grace's Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• $\frac{1}{2}$ cup shortening
• $\frac{1}{2}$ cup peanut butter
• $1$ cup brown sugar
• $1$ egg, well beaten
• $1\frac{1}{4}$ cups flour
• $\frac{1}{2}$ teaspoon salt
• $\frac{1}{2}$ teaspoon baking soda
• $\frac{1}{2}$ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

• Mix peanut butter, shortening, sugar, and egg.
• Sift flour, salt, and soda and add vanilla to the first mixture.
• Mix all together and place on cookie sheet.
• Bake in moderate oven ($350°$) for $10$ minutes.
