Ingredients

  • cups smooth peanut butter
  • ( pound) bag powdered sugar
  • teaspoon vanilla
  • cups butter
  • ounces chocolate chips
  • ounce paraffin (cooking wax - hardens and shines up the chocolate - not necessary, but helpful)

Instructions

  • Combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and butter.
  • Roll into inch balls (buckeye size) and chill one hour.
  • Melt chips and paraffin in a double boiler.
  • Coat balls with chocolate mixture and let stand till set.
  • Enjoy at room temperature or frozen.

Tip

Use toothpicks to dip peanut balls in chocolate and stick other end of the toothpick in a piece of Styrofoam. Your buckeyes will come out perfect this way.
